About Us
Welcome to Thread Swap. So what is Thread Swap? Thread Swap is where you come to swap clothes and accessories on the net. It's like a clothes swapping event, just online, and you dont pay to get in. Oh, and if you don't like anything you can just come back and visit another time. It's a fact that everyone wears 30% of their clothes 80% of the time, so why not give them to someone who could really do with them. There are thousands of people that are in need of great fashion, so why not save your $$$ and shop at Thread Swap.
So how does it work?
If you have some fashion lying around that you know you'll never wear, you take good photos of them and list them on Thread Swap. You put a credit value against each item (roughly a dollar figure) and when someone see's your item they take it. You then get the credits to spend on other great items. Swap your clothes and find a new fashion wardrobe for next to nothing.
If you're looking to take something you just need to make sure you have enough credits to take that item.
It's that easy!
There are 4 ways to get credits.
- List an item and have someone take it!
- Use one of our promo codes for free credits
- Refer a friend and get bonus credits each time a friend signs up, and
- Purchase credits
We've made it as simple as possible and if you're smart you can get yourself a complete new outfit for under $5. Clothes swapping is eco friendly too!

Bento, Melbourne Australia
The Bento name comes from a dream that our creative director used to have about running away. If she had to pack an overnight bag in the middle of the night and was never coming back, what few pieces in her wardrobe would she take?
Our philosophy is simple – we create timeless pieces that are simple and stylish. We just design those wardrobe staples that seem to go with everything, last for ages and stay in high rotation year after year.
Despite the Bento name having Japanese origins, this is a rather French way of thinking. All our pieces are made to last, using only the best fabrics and manufactured locally in an environment that respects and remunerates workers appropriately.
Made entirely in Melbourne in ethical working environments, every single Bento piece goes from concept to completion within 10 kilometres of our studio.
